Do we get any extra’s if we book direct versus booking through a 3rd party like booking.com, expedia etc?
YES! Direct bookings via our website or by phone will receive FREE bottled water, wi-fi, chocolates and a welcome drink on arrival, 20% off all therapies, 10% discount if you pay cash and a late check out to 1.00pm (if available). Therapies must be booked prior to arrival. Booking through a 3rd party website we pay between 15 - 25% commission therefore we don't provide the extra's as we pay hefty commissions.
How far is Venus Bay from Melbourne CBD?
Depending on traffic on the M1 particularly if you are coming Friday after work it will take approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours from Melbourne.
What time is check in?
Check in is anytime after 2.00pm. If you arrive earlier than 2.00pm we cannot guarantee that your room will be ready or we may be running errands. You can request an early check in but this will be dependant on whether we have guests in the night before or when they check out in the morning.
Will somebody be there when we arrive?
Provided that you arrive at 2.00pm, we will be here to greet you.
What is the latest time we can check in?
10.00pm is the latest you can check in as we are mindful of not disturbing our guests who may already be asleep.
What time is check out?
Generally check out is 11.00am, however if you book direct you may be able to check out at 1.00pm provided no one has booked the room for the same day as your departure.
Do you accept card payments?
YES, we accept EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard.
Are there charges for card payments?
Due to the rising costs of electricity, consumables and produce, Venus Escapes can no longer absorb the credit card charges imposed on us by the Bank. Unfortunately we now have to pass these charges onto "guests paying by card facilities". We encourage our guests to pay by CASH to avoid being charged the surcharges. Below are the card charges which will now apply:-
- Visa Credit, Debit and Prepaid - 1.81%
- Mastercard Credit, Debit and Prepaid - 2.0%
- Eftpos and Eftpos Prepaid - 0.79%
Do you accept cash?
YES, if you book direct with us and not a 3rd party website you will receive a 10% discount for cash.
How do I book for Accommodation?
The best value is to BOOK direct with us by:-

How many guests to a room?
We have a maximum of 2 adults per room. All our beds are king (no splits).
Can we bring our infant/child/children?
NO, Venus Escapes is an adults only establishment and does not cater for children under 16 years of age. Unfortunately, if you arrive with children, you will be asked to leave and no refunds can be given.

Is Breakfast included in our tariff?
If you book the Bed and Breakfast Package this tariff will included a $60 in-house breakfast voucher per couple daily. If you book a ROOM ONLY rate you can purchase breakfast for an additional charge. Your breakfast selection is required by 6.00pm the night before (by filling out the A-la-carte breakfast menu).
What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served either downstairs in the dining room or room service (by request) between 8.00 - 10.00am daily.
Are there ocean views?
NO, Venus Escapes is protected by sand dunes, so there are no ocean views. Our views are "coastal landscape".
Do you provide Dinner?
YES by prior arrangement only with a minimum of 24 hours notice. We offer a set menu using local produce with the option of 2 or 3 courses for $50 - 60 per head. Please either call Karen on 0356637099 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for our Menu.
Do you have cooking facilities in the rooms?
NO, cooking is prohibited in guest rooms. We do have a microwave in the upstairs foyer for guests to heat food.
Do you have BBQ facilities?
NO, but this is something that we are considering for the near future.
Do you have a guest laundry?
NO, but Venus Escapes has a commercial washer and dryer for private use. We are happy to wash a load and dry clothes in the dryer for $10. Ironing facilities are available in your room.
Is Wi-Fi provided free?
YES wireless Wi-Fi is provided. A code is available in the guest rooms.
Are the rooms serviced daily?
BY REQUEST ONLY. We respect your privacy so if you would like your room serviced, fresh towels, bed made, tea and coffee replenished you will need to put your sign "Please make up this room" on the outside of your door. Rooms are serviced between 11.00am - 12 noon daily.
Do you offer room service?
YES, we offer room service for breakfast and pre-arranged dinners.
Are linen and towels provided?
YES, we are "hotel-style" accommodation and provide all bed linen and towels.
Can we use the Hydrotherapy Spa at any time?
NO, the hydrotherapy spa is closed during Winter and outside of these times we only have the Spa at optimum temperature by appointment only. If you wish to use the Spa you will need to book 24 hours prior to ensure maximum temperature. This is due to the hefty electricity costs to run the Spa. The Spa is open from 1st September to 31st May between 11.00am - 8.00pm.
